A major drawback of reading the Economist has always been…reading…the Economist. No longer:

“The audio edition contains word-for-word  recordings of all articles published in The Economist, read by  professional broadcasters and actors. It is a convenient way to access our  global news, insight and analysis…”

I hope more publications adopt this; not because I think audio versions are superior. Rather, it may create opportunities to supplement my income as an untrained, pleasant baritone for hire.
