What meanings/connotations do NYC area codes carry? Check out P•Feld with the subtle palindromic number pun while discussing NYC’s evolving area code geography and mobile/land-line portability.

I vaguely recall bygone days of the Bronx 212, and of dialing just the last seven. And I’ve had my 917 mobile since StarTacs and RecSpecs were my jam.
