I enjoyed Cathcart and Klein’s first offering, Plato and a Platypus Walk Into a Bar, and their more recent Aristotle and an Aardvark Go to Washington: Understanding Political Doublespeak through Philosophy and Jokes also delivers.
The jokes are rarely knee-slappers. It is philosophy after-all (and, equally plodding, media analysis). But, with that expectation tamped appropriately, I recommend picking it up. It’s a relatively quick read, even for chronic under-liners and annotators like me.
